Football is a sport with nuance. Such is the complexity of the sport itself, and the culture around it, that there are almost infinite points of discussion surrounding the Beautiful Game. Here, I will be offering my opinion on as many of these as possible. Everything here is my own opinion, and I hope that you will tell me I’m wrong if my bias towards the greatest club in the world, Arsenal, proves to be too strong.
I will also occasionally write about my own experiences playing football. I play in perhaps the most quintessentially English form of the sport – the fabled Sunday League. I have countless stories from these legendary leagues, which I will doubtless recount when the opportunity arises,
I’m currently studying to take my A-Levels, and in the future I aspire towards a career in football journalism. Well, in all honesty, I aspire to a career of playing left-wing for Arsenal, and to ultimately score a 30 yard screamer to win the Champions League final in the 93rd minute. But alas, that is unrealistic. Football is my passion, and I hope to have a career surrounding it, whatever this might entail. I hope that my passion comes across in my writing, and I hope you enjoy reading.
